Erich Dieckmann

Erich Dieckmann GmbH is a long-established company which has been producing fittings for furniture, doors and windows since 1870. While manufacturing these fittings, the grinding creates an aluminum dust, which had to be extracted properly to ensure a clean and safe workplace for the employees of Erich Dieckmann GmbH.

ULMATEC installed two 22 kW extraction systems of the type IEP to solve this problem. A direct extraction on 28 connections of the 11 grinding and processing machines ensures that dust particles are optimally extracted.
Because aluminum dust in combination with oxygen is an explosive dust- air mixture, high safety measures are necessary for a dry extraction. Through the aimed use of pre-separators, spark detection with extinguishing system and more other safety-relevant measures, ULMATEC has succeeded in installing a deduster without bursting discs and/or suppression measures for installation in the room.
Supplementary an integrated summer/winter changeover guarantees the perfect implementation of energy efficiency.
This also for ULMATEC first-time project is unique in the market of extraction technology and above all saves the customer expensive acquisition as well as high annual servicing costs.

TÜV Süd confirmed the concept and the new technology with a successful inspection.
According to our supervisor Mr. Karsten Steinbrück, who himself made the installation, the project has been a complete success. He summarized the work on site as followed: „It was just a pleasure to install such a system for the first time. Through the friendly and competent cooperation with the customer on site, the installation went without any trouble".
