Aluminum is one of the most important light metals of the modern industry. The main risk while working with aluminum and its alloys is the risk of fire and explosion of the resulting dusts. Combined with oxygen and an effective ignition source, dangerous dust fires or explosions can occur.
To protect people and the environment, it is important to capture and separate these media safely, depending on the application through a dry or wet extraction in medium or high vacuum range. When designing your system, we therefore take into account many factors such as material and air volume, number of workplaces and much more.
Unlike other extraction systems, we prevent dangerous explosions and dust fires before the can occur. Different separation, filtering and extinguishing levels “defuse” the explosive material safe and reliable. For this reason, ULMATEC extraction systems do not require conventional explosion-proof components, such as check valves, rupture risks or quick-action shutters, whose new acquisition after an eruption can amount up to 10,000.00€.
We have developed this unique process together with German machine builders and are able to produce our modular systems up to 30 % cheaper without sacrificing safety and quality. In addition to the effectiveness of our systems, our focus is also on cost-effectiveness, which amongst other things is based on low operating and follow-up costs, as well as our high quality standard. We will gladly advise you personally about your individual extraction solution.
In a dry extraction, the material is captured through a capturing element (e.g. extraction arm) and a flow-optimized piping system directly into the cyclone pre-separator. Here already a big amount of dust can be discharged. The remaining fine dust is completely separated by various filter media.
Deposits in the pipe system and the filter unit are avoided by a constant air speed of more than 20m/s (monitoring by under-pressure and volumetric flow controlling). Nevertheless, should a spark reach the filter unit, sensors will automatically trigger the integrated extinguishing system (powder or CO²). The filtered air can be returned to the production area or being blown outside via a pipe system.
The wet separator NAS is predestined for the extraction of all those substances that are difficult or even impossible to separate in a dry process. The material passes through the intake nozzle into the mixer, where it can be bound and filtered in a generated water vortex and being discharged via a container or drain cock. The filtered air can be returned to the production area or being blown outside via a pipe system.
Optimally coordinated components guarantee a maximum performance with low energy consumption. This makes the ULMATEC wet separator one of the safest solutions in dealing with flammable or explosive materials.
